The Manager, Research Data and Analytics plays a critical role in the leadership of the Biomedical Research Informatics Center (BRIC), ensuring alignment with the organization's overarching technology and governance strategies, policies, and standards across business, application, data, and technology perspectives. They play a vital and collaborative role by providing research data management and analytics expertise to investigators within the Nemours enterprise and external collaborators, including those in the University of Delaware INBRE and PEDSnet research communities. Responsibilities encompass the management and mentorship of a team comprising data analysts, data architects, and developers. This team will be instrumental in building and maintaining data infrastructure supporting research studies, registries, and clinical trial recruitment.
The incumbent will be responsible for developing and maintaining best practices related to patient privacy, data security, and data reusability. Under their direction, the team will focus on transforming electronic health record (Epic) data, supplementing clinical data with geospatial and area-based measures, managing data sets for national data networks and collaborations, and delivering data sets and reports to support research collaborators throughout Nemours. Additionally, the Manager, Research Data and Analytics will engage with principal investigators and clinical domain experts to understand data requirements for study participation.
