The Applications Analyst for the Research Department at Nemours plays a critical role in providing direct support to end users for the efficient and effective utilization of the Nemours Research Suite including its various modules and ancillary research applications (i.e. *Huron Research Suite and **REDCap).

The role involves active participation in building testing and validating new functionality as well as engaging in customized configuration activities tailored to meet research needs. Additionally, the analyst must have a sound understanding of the underlying research processes managed through the Nemours Research Suite. Analysts also seek to identify technical issues associated with the research applications, striving to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization to enhance end user knowledge and productivity. Acting as a crucial liaison they provide expert-level support and guidance to researchers, clinicians, and support staff ensuring seamless navigation of the research platforms supporting research throughout Nemours.

In close collaboration with research leadership, the Research Applications Analyst coordinates system updates, changes, and enhancements to research applications. The Research Applications Analyst also prepares regular reports to aid in analysis of system use and makes recommendations for improvements in application usability and adoption. Through their dedication to customer service excellence and profound understanding of research applications and processes, the Research Applications Analyst will contribute to cutting-edge biomedical research across a diverse range of clinical domains.   • Huron Research is a suite of software solutions designed to facilitate research administration service delivery and compliance.

**REDCap is a web-based application designed to support data capture for building and managing online surveys and databases.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support to end users for the Nemours Research Suite, ensuring efficient and accurate utilization of applications and tools.
  • Respond to service tickets within defined timeframes to address user inquiries and technical issues promptly.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders maintaining clear, timely communication throughout projects and support interactions.
  • Participate in building, testing, and validating new functionality within research applications, tailored to meet project requirements and maintain the ability to master multiple applications and manipulate underlying data sets.
  • Analyze workflows, data collection processes, and technical issues to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
  • Collaborate with senior management to plan, implement, and evaluate systems and services related to research informatics.
  • Coordinate system updates, changes, and enhancements to support research needs while maintaining system integrity.
  • Prepare documentation, charts, and diagrams to aid in problem analysis and recommend solutions effectively.
  • Demonstrate independent problem solving, innovative thinking, and the ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize tasks.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Application Analyst with strong software and application knowledge (preferably in Heron Research Suite or REDCap) or 1 year of experience in a Research Department (preferable with human subject research experience).
  • 3 years' experience preferred
  • High School diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
