Position Purpose: Management of production floor. Delegate work to technicians and operators to maximize production results and meet customer schedules. Assists team members in the startup, operation and TPM maintenance of molding and assembly equipment and the packaging of packaging of molded and/or assembled components per company and customer specifications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Monitor customer specification sheets and appropriate processing sheets
Ensure responses to corrective action requests are accurate, complete, and timely
Supervise and maintain housekeeping, 5S standards and Autonomous Maintenance activities
Supervise and assist in mold set ups and start-ups
Coordinate production reports
Delegate responsibilities to technicians and other employees, when applicable
Organize meetings for all employees to facilitate communication and resolve issues
Coordinate all employee training
Maintain attendance records
Take necessary corrective or disciplinary actions with subordinates as necessary
Document all employee conflicts or problems and forward to the Manufacturing Manager or Human Resources
Daily scheduling of operators
Coordinate the issuing of tool repair request and maintenance work orders
Supervise all production employees
Other duties as assigned
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or equivalent
5 years injection molding experience
5 years in a supervisory position (strongly preferred)
Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.
Able to stand and walk 90% of shift to and from machines, buildings, office and/or clean rooms
Able to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, grab, and climb as needed
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Mechanical aptitude
Ability to work on Microsoft Office, Word, Excel
Basic SAP knowledge
Knowledge of inspection techniques
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Works in a clean manufacturing and warehouse environment that may include moderate noise levels.
