NiS is seeking a Platform Configuration Engineer who will support the customer's mission and make it successful, broaden the impact of GIS technology to its business, and help shape the ArcGIS platform by identifying new implementation opportunities. The onsite Platform Configuration Engineer/Developer will be Esri's day-to-day representative to NGA directorates. The candidate must be conversant with Esri's full ArcGIS Enterprise stack and capable of advising on how best to employ ArcGIS capabilities to meet NGA's mission. The candidate must be capable of working in a fluid, operations-driven environment that will require flexibility, independent problem solving, collaboration and teamwork.

The selected person must be capable of troubleshooting installations and configurations, aiding the site System Administrator with ArcGIS, and be the onsite expert on ArcGIS capabilities and functions.

Required Qualifications

• US citizen cleared TS/SCI w/CI Poly.
• Education: BA/BS reqd. Computer Science, GIS or related fields preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; self-motivated
• Certifications: Security
• Journeyman-level knowledge of and recent experience with ArcGIS Enterprise.
  • Experience deploying and configuring ArcGIS Enterprise (5 yrs minimum)
• Experience with Windows Server 2016 or later
• Experience configuring/troubleshooting Microsoft IIS 7 or later.
• Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise-associated APIs and SDKs, and enabling technologies with the following:
  • ArcGIS 3.x/4.x JavaScript API
  • HTML5/JS/CSS3
  • Python
  • ArcGIS REST API Experience

Desired Qualifications

Platform Configuration Engineer

• Mid-grade experience level
• TS/SCI with ability to get additional compartments - gotta pass a special background investigation.
• 2 years of work on the schedule
• Must be capable of being onsite in Springfield, VA, and Suitland, MD.
• Maritime experience very helpful, especially Maritime Chart Server, Custom Chart Builder.
• Knowledge of ArcMap, Pro and Enterprise needed.
• Experience with Esri APIs, SDKs.
• Experience with Personal and Enterprise Geodatabases
• Experience with upgrading from ArcMap to Pro helpful
• Experience with installation, deployment, and configuration is needed
• Coding and development experience very helpful.
