NEL FREQUENCY CONTROLS is Hiring a SOLDERER/ASSEMBLER Near Burlington, WI

NEL Frequency Controls – (On-site) Burlington, WI location

NEL Frequency Controls, Inc, is a leading manufacturer of crystal oscillators and other electronic frequency control products, shipping to customers all over the world. We are a "light manufacturing" operation with a very clean, quiet, temperature-controlled working environment. NEL is based in Burlington, WI and has been for over 50 years. Summary: The Production Associate /Solderer Assembler will work in production to perform soldering on electronic components, usually using a microscope. Candidate must also be very detail oriented and work from very specific work orders correctly and recognize errors. We will happily train the right candidate!

Job responsibilities:

  • Precisely follow directions on the Work Order, Drawing, and Bill of Materials to attach crystals to circuit boards as directed.
  • Inspect for quality and find mistakes during production.
  • Use a very delicate touch to be able to work with very tiny parts with the help of a microscope and use various hand tools.
  • Use a microscope and soldering iron to solder wire leads and components.
  • Clean the boards and submit work to Quality Assurance for inspection. Upon approval, proceed to the next step on the Work Order.
  • Follow safety and maintenance procedures for proper use of all tools.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to see clearly through a microscope.
  • Must be able to handle very small parts, sometimes using small hand tools
  • Must be VERY detail-oriented, able to focus/concentrate on the assigned task, and able to follow the Work Order and Drawing precisely as directed
  • Ability to work independently OR as part of the team
  • Good attendance record
  • 1 years’ experience preferred but will train the right candidate if she/he displays the desire to learn and contribute to our team's success. Paid training is provided.

Skills & Experience:

  • Frequently required to sit. May stand and walk as well; won't be stuck in one position all day. NO heavy lifting.
  • Possible opportunity for overtime; but not required.

Schedule:

  • 8 hour day shift – Monday to Friday
