Neighborhood House is Hiring a Summer Teen Youth Leader Near Salt Lake, UT

Overview:

Explore the best Salt Lake Valley has to offer with a dozen exceptional youth aged 13-15 as they serve the community, engage in exciting recreational activities and foster friendships, resilience, confidence, and an awareness of their ability to impact their world. Be a mentor as you work side-by-side with youth to escape to new adventures, try new things, and embrace new challenges. The youth program leader will work with other program staff and youth to plan and implement meaningful and engaging opportunities to explore the great outdoors, discover museums, be civically involved, and enjoy a wide variety group recreational activities. They will be responsible for helping to facilitate a constructivist learning environment that allows youth to create meaning out of their experience through reflection and demonstration. Additionally, the youth program leader will be responsible for proper supervision of and interaction with youth, practice effective group management, encourage participation, develop meaningful relationships, serve as a positive role model, and - most of all - have fun!
