Position: Receivables Specialist

Supervisor: Administrative Services Manager, VP of Residential Services

Position Summary:

Necco has an opportunity for a career as a Receivables Specialist. This administrative position will add the most value to the company by being responsible for the Medicaid claiming, roster approval, review, analysis, communications, and management of every aspect to increase and continue the implementation, billing, and revenue for Medicaid.

This position plans, documents, and implements procedures for the accurate maintenance and reporting of Medicaid. They will work with the program directors and managers to assist with staff support & training, staff productivity and EHR and data needs. Reporting directly to the Administrative Services Manager, this role will also maintain a strong dotted line to the Revenue Cycle Team, ensuring seamless coordination and collaboration across various departments within the organization. This dual reporting structure aims to optimize communication channels, ensure standardization of processes, and foster a cohesive working environment to achieve organizational goals.

The candidate selected will be responsible for the following:

Claims Management

·Works with directors and managers to evaluate systems and procedures involving Medicaid reimbursable activities

·Oversees the supervision of the entry and maintenance of Medicaid records for consistency and accuracy and proper reimbursement

·Consults with Medicaid & managed care organizations about any disputed claims and follows up on all bills not processed within usual claim period

·Works with directors and managers to develop training to improve efficiencies in all Medicaid billing and reporting

·Assists in the development of reports and procedures for conveying Medicaid billing information for directors, managers and their teams

·Works with directors and managers to support data entry

·Works with the directors and managers to assist with supervision for the Medicaid program, including working with the third party company to facilitate waiver Medicaid claims

·Works with the electronic health record team to facilitate the program needs and support the operations teams

·Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Position Qualifications

·Bachelor’s Degree (minimum)

·3-5 years of experience in accounting, finance, data collection, and management

·Ability to multitask and think critically

·Excellent written, oral, and organizational skills

·Successful completion of all required criminal background checks

·Valid driver’s license and 100/300/100 required auto insurance coverage

·A general knowledge of computer use including computer applications and centralized database. Knowledgeable in office products (i.e., Excel and Word), Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

·Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and policy and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively one-on-one and before groups.

·Mathematical Skills: Ability to collect and graph skill programming and behavior data, add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, and percentages.

·Reasoning Ability: Ability to problem-solve and apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and/or oral diagram form
