Marketing and Event Specialist

We are looking for an energetic, organized Marketing and Event Specialist who can support digital campaigns as well as manage physical events for our Advanced Recognition System sales team, focusing on key solutions to drive AI, computer vision and biometric solutions (Electronic Fingerprint capture, Facial Recognition, Iris Recognition).

If you are an enthusiastic marketing person who is a problem solver with excellent project management skills, are comfortable rolling up your sleeves to complete work on your own as well as coordinating and managing task of others, this may be an excellent opportunity for you!

In this role, you will develop targeted audience segments and execute campaigns that build awareness and generate leads for the Federal Government, State and Local Government and Aviation verticals. You will work with Subject Matter Experts (SME) and Sales teams to create content, including customer case studies, blogs, solution sheets, SME videos, white papers and more. You will coordinate logistics for small table-top events and works with event agency for 3 larger scale events with booth build outs. You will provide direction to ad agency, copywriter and videographer on supported projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

60% Manage event logistics and provide project management for pre, during and post event activities:

  • Plan and manage small table-top events that require shipping coordination, PO generation and invoice management, giveaways coordination, monitor equipment rentals for demos, and handle registration of event attendees.
  • Coordinate 3 larger scale booth events annually by working with outside event agency for booth buildout, managing logistics for demos and demoers, working with internal and external graphics support to choose the look and feel of the booth, planning and hosting customer happy hours, develop branding and digital promo, customer networking receptions and more.
  • Project manage 1 proprietary event working with a larger event team to coordinate overall agenda, customer receptions, hotel room block, catering, onsite videos, etc.

40% Develop and execute effective digital marketing campaigns for targeted audiences, including:

  • Defining audience segmentation.
  • Determine the best marketing mix to drive desired results, inclusive of social media, content syndication, display ads, media buys, blogs, videos, customer case studies, emails, solution sheets, white papers, offers, etc.
  • Build workflows in Hubspot Marketing for targeted customer outreach and follow-up.
  • Manage digital marketing vendors on assigned projects.
  • Create content with ad agency, copywriter and videographer and project manage timelines and deliverables.

Prerequisites:

Education: College degree preferred

Experience: Six plus years experience in marketing and events, AI, computer vision or tech field industry experience preferred.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

Language Skills: Extensive written and verbal communication skills required.

Reasoning Skills: Good communication of product/solution value, benefits, ROI, etc.

Ability to make decisions and use discretion is essential.

Strong interpersonal skills are required. Strong organizational and project management skills are required.

Requires strong analytical skills and creativity.

Technical Skills: CRM skills a plus (HubSpot Marketing, Salesforce); Project management tools (Monday, Basecamp), Google Analytics, etc.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

Work Environment: Hybrid work environment (office, home, some events)

Standing/Lifting: Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and stand extended lengths at events, walking show floors at convention centers.

Stress: Able to work under moderate stress.

Travel: Able to travel as needed; up to 4-5 times a year. Possibly 1 international trip.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $75,000 to $95,000 with a target annual 10% bonus; depending upon the selected candidate’s relevant experience, the exact salary for the role may fall outside of this range. This role will also be eligible to participate in the Company’s bonus/incentive program(s).
