RIMARY ROLE IN THE ORGANIZATION: Ensure all machines are running with the correct mold for the correct part.

Responsibilities

Support Mold Change Crew

• Change materials during mold changes
• Set materials to dry ahead of mold changes to improve OEE
• Coordinate with production and warehouse for material and packaging needs.
• Cleans and prepare dryers for production

Collect & Record Material Change Data

• Record material change start & finish time
• Record startup defects and material usage
• Verify that correct material/components were brought to the machine

Assist Mold Change Team

• Train to fill other positions (mold setter and mold processor)

Assist Production Needs

• Clean all jet loader catch cars
• Clean all vacuum system filters
• Mix materials for production runs
• Load gaylords for production runs
• Clean and set-up mixers for production runs
• Keep material stations 1 and 2 clear of empty boxes and spilled materials.

Assist in Kaizen Activities

• Collect data as required by the Supervisor
• Adhere to all ISO 9001. 200/TS16946 requirements
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures
• Ability to communicate with production and other related departments
• Any other duties assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

Understanding of production planning

• Able to perform necessary material change preparation based on mold change schedule

Understanding of machine and injection molds

• Understand all related safety requirements, safety training up to date
• Posses working knowledge of machines, molds, and equipment
• Understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics

Meet material change setup within required time

Ability to perform material change/setup

• Maintain required material change tools
• Posses required certificates
• Can give proper instructions to operators and floaters

Understanding of part quality

• Understands part quality requirements and can perform start up and 1^st article checks based on Key Point Check Sheet
• Report non-conforming parts/process to the Processor Supervisor

Understanding of the Kaizen process

Highschool, GED, Technical Training or work-related experience

Organized and detailed with assigned duties

Good communication skills, written and verbal

Good problem solving skills

Ability to work overtime and weekends

Job is second shift
