Summary

Primarily responsible for managing and directing all activities necessary for the efficient and timely production of all work orders.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Follow up with planning on all Work Orders for that area.
• Make sure product that allocated into Net Suite falls and has inventory in Edge.
• Have constant communication with replenishment team, prioritizing orders that are provided my planning.
• Following up on groups that planning has created to replenish and their status.
• Allocating product so it falls into ready status.
• Print and allocate WO picks to Pickers
• Control skips from pickers and follow up with Inventory Control for product status confirmation either to rerun pick or to close WO in Edge.
• Follow up with planning when not enough product is ready for replenishment and is held short.
• Follow up with receiving department on transfers from receiving dock originating from warehouses or imports.
• Follow up on transfer department for components transferring from other warehouses.
• Making sure to work together with Inventory Control to empty WIP return bins every day.
• Clearing out all WIP virtual bins with no inventory in them.
• Providing the lines with assortment instructions for Wholesale orders as well as tags and labels for each provided by sales dept.
• Make sure each production area (Liquid, Foaming, Assembly, Boxing) have enough product to pick to keep them at their optimum efficiency levels.

Qualifications

• 2 years of production planning experience and/or experience in leading a work team toward meeting production goals.
• Experience working in a manufacturing setting is highly preferred.
• Skills in production management, assembly processes are highly preferred.
• Computer skills in MS Windows and preferably with experience working with ERPs/ WMS.
• Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered
• Capable of identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner
• Disciplined approach towards policies and procedures
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency as it relates to customer satisfaction

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, there are requirements for lifting, standing and walking throughout the warehouse; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Evening and/or weekend work may be necessary to meet deadlines.
