About the Position:

The Nurse Manager, Surgery oversees all daily clinical and operational activities of the Surgical Services Department. This includes planning, managing, and evaluating tasks and functions of RN’s, including all aspects of patient care from a clinical perspective and from an ongoing organizational perspective.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the day-to-day operations across the operating rooms, pre-op/pacu, central sterile and endoscopy; manage and mentor the nursing team, ensuring optimal efficiency and the safest level of patient care; collaborate with surgeons, nursing staff, ancillary departments and hospital leadership to enhance the overall quality of patient care; utilize evidence based research and implement best practices based on AORN standards, and foster a collaborative and positive work environment across all levels

Qualifications & Requirements:

Our ideal candidate will possess the heart of a servant leader - providing support and mentoring to the nursing staff, and ensure your team is providing the highest level of safe, compassionate care to its patients. You will serve as a professional role model and clinical resource for the nurses and other members of your team, develop goals and objectives for your team, and will participate in budget/fiscal management.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required / Master’s degree preferred
• Active RN License
• CNOR preferred (or able to obtain)
• 5 years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital based Operating Room
• 2 years progressive surgical services leadership experience (Assistant Manager / Supervisor level or above)
