Job Description

The Transportation Department is now accepting statements of interest from staff for the following position. This position is only open to Transportation Department staff.

Program Manager – Branding, Campaigns, and Media

Seeking a Program Manager to lead and guide branding, campaign, and media initiatives on behalf of the Transportation Department. 

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Overseeing the planning, development, and implementation of branding efforts related to transportation projects and programs
  • Overseeing the development and implementation of communications outreach and education plans for major department awareness campaigns and educational efforts
  • Overseeing department graphic design efforts
  • Managing the department’s media relations, including development of press releases
  • Managing website support for the department’s web projects
  • Developing budgets and monitoring expenditures
  • Preparing and delivering oral presentations
  • Preparing and reviewing correspondence, documentation, reports, articles, and executive summaries
  • Planning and attending meetings and events
  • Supervising staff

This position requires at least five years of work-related experience, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in analytical, quantitative methods. The individual in this position should also possess strong written and oral communication skills, strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, and effective managerial and supervisory skills.
