Serves as the primary athletic trainer for assigned teams. Responsible for the care of student-athletes, including prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of injured student-athletes under the supervision of a team physician.Duties include but are not limited to the following:Assists in operating the training roomEnsures proper use of equipment and facilities by student-athletesWorks with Associate Athletics Director for Sports Medicine and the Team Physicians in providing proper evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of athletically injured student-athletesMaintains medical records on student-athletes to include physical examinations, insurance information and injury evaluation reportsAttends scheduled team practices and events, including traveling with teams, as assignedProvides emergency care when indicatedAssists with maintenance of training room equipmentAssists with annual physical examinations and drug testing program.
