Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated individual interested in an apprenticeship to learn to operate large-scale label printing presses. This position will provide hands-on experience with a variety of machines including the 4150, E5, P5, Rotoflex, and 830. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and committed to maintaining high-quality standards

Responsibilities:

Learn to operate various label printing presses under the guidance of experienced operators

Assist in machine setup and shutdown procedures

Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machines

Ensure print quality and color accuracy on all jobs

Adhere to safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment

Set up and operate printing presses according to job specifications

Monitor press operations to ensure proper ink coverage, registration, and color consistency

Perform routine maintenance on presses, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts

Troubleshoot press issues and make adjustments as needed to maintain optimal performance

Inspect printed materials for defects and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Strong mechanical aptitude

Ability to perform basic math functions

Excellent attention to detail

Ability to stand for extended periods

Willingness to learn and grow within the company

Flexible - willing to work where needed

Reliable - good attendance and safety record

Ability to work well with others, to share knowledge through training

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted

Ability to move 50-125 pounds using proper moving equipment

Ability to work overtime as required during week and on weekends

Positive attitude, team player, self-motivated, safety conscious

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
