Job Description:
NCIC is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to play an important role in the development and maintenance of our applications for the inmate communications industry. Our communication system is installed in hundreds of facilities across the world. The ideal candidate needs to be self-motivated and able to work productively and make decisions without constant supervision. The candidate will continue developing and enhancing our web applications while keeping the company up to date on new technologies.
Responsibilities:
Candidate will be responsible for the entire life cycle of code from design through production. Must be able to work as a team and independently on projects. Our desire is to write clean reusable code that is responsive to the end user.
Abilities:
Desired candidate is required to have at least 2 years experience as a web developer using PHP/Laravel. Other desired skills include experience with databases including Postgres, MySQL and Redis. Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio is a plus. Must have good communication skills and be able to multitask and provide time estimates and stay on schedule.
