SUPERVISOR: TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) Coordinator

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required – Associate Degree or working towards
Basic computer skills

Preferred – Experience in tutoring Science, Math, English, and Nursing Bilingual in English and Spanish languages
Copies of all academic transcripts are required. Unofficial copies are acceptable at the time of application. Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment, a complete set of original transcripts will be required.

DESIRED QUALITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS:
1. Ability to demonstrate professionalism in dealing with students and have a familiarity with populations served by TRIO.
2. Ability to work independently.
3. Must possess good written and oral communication skills.
4. Computer proficiency.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Carry out duties without detailed day-to-day supervision.
2. Assist with tutoring of students in various content areas.
3. Provide tutoring services, both individually and in small group settings, in the areas of math, science, and nursing.
4. Provide soft skill workshops along with career/goal awareness.
5. Assist SSS Coordinator in coordinating, implementing, and recruiting for a Bridge Program.
6. Demonstrate and practice NCC Service Vision.
7. Maintain a positive learning environment.
8. Revise resources within the TRIO Department.
9. Assist with recruiting TRIO students, including orientations.
10. Perform other duties as assigned by TRIO SSS Coordinator and/or TRIO SSS Academic Specialist.

WAGE/SALARY RANGE: $16 per hour up to 29 hours per week.
