• Serve as our Survey Party Chief in our Cherokee Construction Office.
• Perform survey work on complex construction projects.
• Supervise survey crews and junior technicians.
• Make independent decisions
• Communicate with coworkers, contractors, and the public.
• Review contractor survey submittals.
• Provide checks of contractor construction layouts in the field.

• Experience using surveying equipment, instruments, levels, data collectors, and GPS equipment.
• Math experience, including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
• Experience performing highway construction stakeouts.
• Experience conducting independent, moderately complex surveying.
• Computer skills using Microsoft Office and drafting applications.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain construction plans, contract provisions, and specification/inspection procedures.
• Safety toe shoes.

• You will be exposed to outside environmental hazards and confined areas.
• You may be required to work nights and weekends.

• Associate's degree in Engineering Technology, Survey Technology, or a related field, and
• 7 years of progressive technician experience; or
• An equivalent combination of education and experience.
