Reporting to the VP Content Financial Analysis, this key role on the Direct-to-Consumer finance team is responsible for content financial performance analysis for Peacock. The role provides the unique opportunity to become a member of NBCUniversal’s expanding Direct-to-Consumer business, including the Peacock streaming business. The Director, Content Financial Analysis will lead a team of 2 finance professionals and will be an integral member of the team. This role will collaborate with other team verticals and help facilitate the execution of financial performance across all content areas (Acquisitions, Originals, Sports, Next Day, etc.). The Director, Content Financial Analysis will be responsible for developing and running financial performance models that will help drive growth, expansion and enhance decision making, track key KPI’s against greenlight and budget targets, and provide timely and consistent reporting packages to senior management.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with cross functional teams (Decision Sciences, Content Strategy, etc.) to align on greenlight inputs, assumptions and targets
  • Lead cross collaboration efforts within the team to ensure consistency across all content modeling, projections and KPI’s
  • Provide overall content performance results and reporting for key content across cross portfolio content types (Entertainment, Sports, News) on a regular cadence
  • Provide data to allow for timely historical P&L’s on individual titles to help inform current content deal decisions
  • Track and report overall Peacock content performance against Budget & LRP investment allocations, advising on potential gaps against targets
  • Help build process to link forecasted/budgeted KPI’s to content; actualize results vs. forecast, developing more automation for quicker reporting
  • Help resolve data and consistency issues across content types and determine the ‘source of truth’ across data pulls
  • Work closely with programming finance team to standardize and improve reporting and metrics across all greenlights and post launch analysis
  • Effectively manage and delegate work appropriately to direct reports, leading by example and exhibiting the culture and values of Peacock and the NBCU Media Group
  • Foster an inclusive environment that requires collaboration across Peacock Finance and Media Group Cross Portfolio Finance teams
  • Execute on other ad hoc requests as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field and 5-10 years of experience, preferably in the streaming business or media landscape
  • Significant finance and accounting skills, including Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Ability to be forward looking, anticipate needs and questions and build long term sustainable processes
  • Analytical and business minded with the ability to analyze and provide actionable solutions
  • Solid financial modeling skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present succinctly to executives and stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to work across departments and levels in a constructive and collaborative manner

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks. Salary range: $125,000 - $170,000 (bonus and long-term incentive eligible)
