Position Summary:

NBA International Programming - Project Employee will support the overall content distribution and fulfillment of contractual obligations across int'l broadcast, digital and social media partners. The position will also support NBA International Content Partnerships Department on all key initiatives.


Major Responsibility:

  • Analyze Deal Memos for int'l broadcast, digital and social media partners, ensuring Int'l Programming fulfillment (contractual obligations) - delivering non-live short-form and long-form programming via Content Network (CN) and live/delayed game schedules for all 5 Leagues (NBA, WNBA, G League, BAL & NBA 2K League) to 100-plus global media partners annually
  • Maintain important Int'l Programming annual documents and administer related databases/websites, including show rundowns, commercia formats, transcripts and music cue sheets for NBA Global Media Courtside site, along with Int'l Programming Distribution & Manifest grid (tracking on annual contractual obligations)
  • Work with NBA Regional Offices (Content & Licensing Account Executives) to build Original
  • Programs annual long-form programming packages (Classic Games, NBA TV Specials, etc.) to assist with global media rights renewals and new licensing revenue/upsell opportunities
  • Manage nightly Game Distribution Center (GDC) - Continuous Game Feeds (CGF) Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) - ensuring specialty video content runs within live NBA continuous game feeds, to compliment arena game rundowns, for approx. 70 annual NBA game licensees & NBA App/LEAGUE PASS
  • Support NBA TV International (NBA TVi) 24-hour programming schedule and operation
  • Coordinate with NBAE Content Production, Digital Media Operations (DMO) and Regions to compile field production requests and deliver acquired footage (b-roll & player/coach interviews - Media Days, Global Games, All-Star, Draft Combine, Finals, Draft, Summer League, Rookie Photo Shoot, etc.)
  • Screen and aggregate NBA partner-produced customized shows while creating media archive RINs and video links, recommending creative content solutions and best practices to enhance regular/weekly programs
  • Highlight and share examples of key Localized Content initiatives from Regional Offices
  • Provide World Feed commercial formats and rundowns while supporting NBAE Game Room dedicated feeds (EMEA NBA Saturdays & Sundays, Brazil, China virtual signage, etc.)
  • Work with DMO and Graphics to create premium content (e.g., NBA & WNBA Players of the Week & Players/Rookies of the Month) for GDC CGF, NBA App/LEAGUE PASS and NBA TVi
  • Distribute Team Cultural Heritage Nights content, ensuring in-arena activations are covered via GDC continuous game feeds and included within the NBA Daily e-mail rundown and CN playlist
  • Record and distribute meeting notes for cross-departmental meetings


Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Extensive knowledge of the NBA Strong knowledge of video content - formats, etc.

Experience Needed:

  • 2 years of experience in sports media


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required
