We are seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting materials processed on blanking lines, ensuring the highest standards of quality are maintained. Responsibilities

• Perform in-process inspections and generate reports.
• Conduct 100% visual inspection of all material at the Inspection Stand.
• Report findings during inspection to the Press Operator, Lead Piler, and Foreman.
• Communicate with Auditors regarding inspection or rework material.
• File charts and histograms for Gamma Reports.
• Assist Piler Operators and Press Operators as needed.
• Ensure housekeeping of all gauges and fixtures.
• Complete assigned projects.
• Have the authority to stop production if necessary to correct quality or safety problems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in steel inspection and manufacturing.
• Background in heavy equipment and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Ability to adhere to general office procedures and operate office equipment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Flexibility to work a schedule that aligns with manufacturing needs.
• Knowledge of steel making and ability to identify various types of steel.
• 20/20 vision or corrective lenses to 20/20 sight.
• Strong mathematical skills.
