This Procurement Specialist position is a temporary assignment! We are seeking a buyer with expertise in sourcing and supply chain to effectively procure materials with experience in electronic components procurement.

Essential Functions Of Position
- Analyze MRP requirements and procure electronic materials, hardware, capital equipment, and services at optimum value to support customer requirements.
- Obtain quotes, examine bids, negotiate prices, establish delivery schedules, and place purchase orders in accordance with company procedures.
- Work with manufacturing process engineers to obtain from customer supplied BOMs, component costs to support preparation of new quotations.
- Monitor delivery and quality performance of suppliers and coordinate corrective actions as required. Support vendor certification program.
- Assist in resolving procurement discrepancies and work closely with suppliers, finance, receiving, and manufacturing.
- Develop and implement inventory strategies to support operations and cash flow considerations. Coordinate periodic cycle counts for inventory accuracy.
- Analysis and negotiating skills with tact and diplomacy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel using Pivot Tables)
- Possess exceptional communication (both oral and written) and listening skills, with attention to details, and ability to make quick informed decisions.
