Immigration Paralegal (Tajik/Uzbek Bilingual)
Immigration Law Firm with Offices in Bay Ridge Brooklyn is looking for an experienced Immigration Paralegal with strong organizational skills, and team player. The law firm handles a variety of immigration cases, including but not limited to Asylum, Adjustment of Status, Consular Processing, U-Visa, VAWA, SIJ, and Employment based cases. The firm also represents clients before Immigration Court, the BIA and all circuit court.

Responsibilities and Duties

Our Paralegals work closely with Attorneys on all aspects of case preparation. Ideal candidate must be a team player and reliable.

• Perform intake of cases
• Draft and file petitions/USCIS applications
• Communicate with clients regarding case processing and procedural issues
• Update case management system
• Handle administrative duties such as answering phones, making copies, filing, etc.
• Translation of documents
• Meet assigned deadlines and communicate case progress to supervising attorney

Qualifications and Skills Associate Degree (Preferred)

• Tajik and/or Uzbek Language (Required)
• 1 years of immigration experience (Required)
• Experience drafting and gathering documentation for Request For Evidence
• Solid MS Word, Excel, spelling, grammar, and typing skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Must have experience managing a large case load
• Strong multitasking skills
