Duties

Perform most of all the following duties, which are typical, but not all inclusive:

  • Use a gas powered mechanical golf ball retriever to pick up golf balls and places golf balls in the range ball dispenser.
  • Retrieve range ball baskets.
  • Pick up range balls by hand that cannot be retrieved by the mechanical golf ball retriever.
  • Clean, stores, and secures golf carts, attaches or removes the battery charger hook-ups as appropriate.
  • change the practice hitting area to a new location daily.
  • Clean the golf ball dispenser and performs preventive maintenance functions such as cleaning the gears, cleaning debris from the inside of the dispenser, and oiling moving parts.
  • Check patrons to ensure they have paid daily green fees.
  • Clean and stocks restrooms and checks sanitation during the shift.
  • Empty trash receptacles and picks up papers, trash and debris around buildings and facilities in order to keep the outside area neat, clean and presentable.
  • Clean and maintains shelters, and drinking fountains on the golf course.
  • Replaces broken lights, paper products, and empties trash cans.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Conditions of Employment

  • Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation. Background investigations are conducted using fingerprint identification and completion of background inquiry forms.
  • Must successfully pass the E-verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
  • You must go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9.
  • May be required to pass pre-employment examinations.
  • Must provide proof of U.S. Citizenship or U.S. National.
  • A valid State driver's license is required to operate motor vehicles.
  • Must have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.
  • Must reside within 50 miles of 32212.
  • Applicants must be 18 years old or above.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate possess the following:

  • Experience with a mechanical golf ball retriever and operating golf carts in tight, confined spaces.
  • Must have customer service experience with the ability to deal with a diverse customer base tactfully.
  • Must have a basic knowledge of golf etiquette.
  • Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions.
  • Must have a valid State Driver's License.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
