Responsibilities This individual will work with the audit team to plan engagement objectives and audit strategy. This person will interact with members of the team at all levels and will also interact with client personnel.
Mentor, supervise and train staff and seniors through counsel, guidance and coaching; evaluate performance and participate in individuals’ performance appraisal process
Cultivate effective relationships with clients to provide superior client service
Provide recommendations for business and process improvements based upon knowledge gained relative to the client’s operations, processes, and business objectives
Lead client audit, review, and compilation engagements, including planning, executing, directing and completing financial audits
Advanced knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and financial statement presentation
Personal & Professional Development
Must have obtained CPA licensure
Invest in professional development through active participation in training sessions and networking events both internally and externally
Support Firm initiatives
Work with Partners to identify and maintain strategic goals of the department and firm
Willingness to travel (up to 15%)
Requirements
Attained Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university
Six years related public accounting audit experience and / or training
Ability to show strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
Solid understanding of industry specific audit issues
Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
Expectations
Delegate work as appropriate and hold staff and seniors accountable for the work that has been delegated to them
