Description

Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced SEO Marketing Manager to lead our search engine optimization efforts within the K-12 education sector. Reporting to the Director of Paid Digital Marketing and SEO, this role will be responsible for developing and implementing effective SEO strategies to improve organic search visibility, drive website traffic, and generate high-quality leads from educators and administrators. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SEO best practices, technical optimization, content strategy, website management, and analytics, with a proven track record of success in optimizing websites for search engines.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies to increase organic search traffic, keyword rankings, and online visibility within the K-12 education market.
  • Conduct in-depth keyword research and analysis to identify high-priority keywords and topics relevant to our target audience, including educators and administrators.
  • Lead on-page optimization efforts, including optimizing meta tags, headers, and other on-page elements to improve search engine rankings and click-through rates.
  • Manage and optimize website content to align with SEO best practices and target relevant keywords and topics, collaborating with content creators and subject matter experts as needed.
  • Oversee technical SEO initiatives, including website audits, site architecture optimization, mobile optimization, and troubleshooting technical issues that may impact search engine visibility.
  • Monitor and analyze website performance metrics, including organic search traffic, keyword rankings, user engagement metrics, and conversion rates, using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and third-party SEO software.
  • Use website analytics data to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement, such as enhancing user experience, improving site speed, and increasing conversion rates.
  • Collaborate closely with web development and IT teams to implement technical SEO recommendations, website updates, and enhancements to improve search engine visibility and user experience.
  • Identify opportunities for link building and off-page optimization to improve website authority and credibility within the K-12 education industry.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, algorithm updates, and best practices in SEO, sharing insights and recommendations with internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate SEO performance, insights, and recommendations to key stakeholders, including senior management.

Qualifications


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, computer science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in SEO roles, with a focus on developing and implementing effective SEO strategies for websites in competitive markets.
  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices, including on-page optimization, technical SEO, off-page optimization, and local SEO.
  • Proficiency in using SEO tools and software, such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Semrush, Yoast, Moz, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog.
  • Experience with website management platforms (e.g., WordPress) with the ability to make updates and enhancements to website content and structure.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret data to drive insights and optimization recommendations.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence key stakeholders.
  • Experience with reporting and data visualization tools (e.g. Google Looker Studio).
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Experience working in the education industry or with K-12 education clients is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Google Analytics certification, SEO certifications) are highly desirable.

Normal Working Hours and Conditions: Core business hours are generally 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. However, this position will require work to be performed outside of normal business hours based on Company operations.

Physical Requirements: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting including verbally communicating, seeing and hearing to exchange information and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard. Daily physical functions include standing, sitting and walking for prolonged periods of time and occasionally stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and twisting. The employee may engage in lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling light to moderate amounts of weight up to 25 pounds. The position also requires the operation of office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement.
