Naval Supply Systems Command is Hiring a MATERIALS HANDLER Near CA, CA
Position Description
You will serve as a Materials Handler in the Supply Management Department within the Warehouse Operations Branch of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR SAN DIEGO.
Position Duties / Responsibilities
- You will unload, receive, and process incoming hazardous materials.
- You will prepare HAZMAT for routine deliveries throughout the base.
- You will properly route, process, and stow materials in the correct location.
- You will store, stack, and palletize items based on their use, size, shape quantity, compatibility and hazardous material category.
- You will complete paperwork and / or documentation to complete warehousing transactions, with reviews done manually or electronically.
- You will Identify material as hazardous waste (HAZWASTE) based upon shelf-life expiration, container degradation, and spillage.
