Position Description

You will serve as a Sheet Metal Mechanic (Aircraft) Training Leader in the Production Lines Division, MRO Production Department of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.

This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

• You will instruct / lead apprentices, trainees, journeymen, workers, military personnel and others in the proper use of tools, machinery, and repair procedures associated with the aircraft sheet metal.
• You will conduct training sessions designed to update, improve, and upgrade the knowledge and skills of others by selecting, modifying, and using various instructional methods and techniques.
• You will give instruction in the use of layout techniques, power tools, materials, measuring devices, precision instruments, and safety devices.
• You will evaluate the progress of workers in terms such as factors of interest, cooperation, assimilation of basic fundamentals and theory, and practical application of work methods.
