Navajo Technical University is Hiring a Dual Credit Coordinator Near Chinle, AZ

JOB PURPOSE:
Serves as a liaison between NTU and secondary schools to increase dual enrollment. Oversees development of dual credit agreements.
This position description indicates in general the nature and levels of work, knowledge, skills, and abilities. It is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities required or assigned to this position.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provides leadership for the development, expansion, and administration of NTU's off-campus high school dual credit program following policy and regulations.
  • Manages the growth, development, promotion, and administration of the Dual Credit Program.
  • Prepares and presents at schools to develop agreements and encourage students in the program.
  • Prepares, negotiates, and finalizes agreements for dual credit program.
  • Partners with the Registration Office for off-campus registration services for students.
  • Partners with marketing to develop and implement effective recruitment and marketing strategies and materials.
  • Contributes to the achievement of the University's recruitment and retention goals.
  • Provides administrative and operational support for the program.
  • Recommends policy and procedural changes for the program.
  • Participates in orientation activities for students and instructors.
  • May assists with the course scheduling processes with program proposals process, communicating specific course needs and helping schools and students locate course information.
  • Provides administrative and informational support and guidance to students of distance education programs, as appropriate to the position; may serve as administrative liaison between students, faculty, and site administration, as appropriate.
  • Conducts surveys and feasibility studies for policy formation and improvement of services.
  • Collects data on Dual Enrollment for all schools
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by conducting research, attending seminars, educational workshops, classes, and conferences; establishing networks; participating in professional societies; conferring with representatives of contracting agencies and related organizations.

SUPERVISION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • None
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or Business Administration.
  • Two years' of Coordinator/Liaison experience with an educational institution
  • Familiarity with community/tribal colleges and secondary school systems is required
  • Valid state driver's license.
  • Must be able to pass a background check, with NO prior convictions of any felonies.
  • Master's Degree in Education or Business Administration
  • Project management experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, county, and local laws, regulations, and requirements.
  • Knowledge of K-12 schools.
  • Knowledge of marketing strategies, processes, and available resources.
  • Knowledge of student registration, academic, and residency requirements.
  • Records maintenance skills.
  • Skill in operating business computers, and office machines, including in a Windows environment, specifically Word, Excel, Access, Databases, and presentation software (such as PowerPoint).
  • Skills in delivering presentations.
  • Ability to interact and maintain good working relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to interpret applicable federal, state, county, and local laws, regulations, and requirements.
  • Ability to negotiate agreements.
  • Ability to gather and analyze statistical data and generate reports.
  • Ability to prepare reports and proposals.
  • Ability to design and implement systems necessary to collect, maintain, and analyze data.
  • Ability to work independently and meet strict timelines.
  • Ability to make solid decisions and exercise independent judgment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in the Navajo and English language.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit for prolonged periods, walk and stand.
  • Use hands for the dexterity of motion and repetitive movement of both hands.
  • Have normal auditory, and visual acuity, and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull upwards of 25 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Work is generally performed in an office setting.
  • Tight time constraints and multiple demands are common.
  • Evening and/or weekend work may be required. Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required.
