Navajo County is offering a paid 6 week summer internship for applicants who are at least 16** years of age or older. It will last from June 10th to July 19th. Interns will be placed in County departments and assigned various administrative and support tasks, depending on the needs of the department. The weekly commitment for interns will be 40 hours per week, unless otherwise determined by the department.When filling out the application, please select which Departments you'd be more interested in interning for under the supplemental questions portion.

• Assist Departmental staff in a variety of tasks.
• Maintain absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, customer records, and restricted County information. 
• Perform other related duties as required.

• Knowledge of Customer service standards and protocols. 
• Skill in providing effective customer service, and dealing tactfully and courteously with the public. 
• Skilled in following verbal and written instructions and procedures. 
• Skilled in communicating effectively verbally and in writing. 
• Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers.

Current resident of Navajo County; AND any combination of training, education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position; AND a valid AZ driver license may be required.
