As the Director of Growth, you will be a key leader responsible for driving and executing the organization's growth strategy. You will play a pivotal role in identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities, expanding the customer base, and growing revenue streams. The Director of Growth is expected to be results-driven professional who can collaborate across departments to achieve sustainable business growth.
The Director of Growth will possess the ability to oversee end-to-end business development processes, encompassing the creation and implementation of business procedures. The candidate will collaborate closely with our leadership team to secure new business opportunities for the firm.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Growth Optimization
  • Work closely with the growth team to optimize sales processes, improve conversion rates, and meet revenue targets
  • Implement data-driven approaches to enhance sales performance
  • Utilize data analytics to identify growth opportunities, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and make informed decisions using business tools (i.e., Salesforce).
  • Work closely with departments such as growth, delivery, marketing, and finance to ensure seamless execution of growth strategies
Business Development
  • Develop creative outreach strategies to attract new clients
  • Form business opportunities and partnerships with key strategic partners
  • Support executive leadership planning and execution of business development activities to increase sales and company growth.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership, account managers, and technical groups to coordinate business development activities
  • Coordinate and participate in meetings with customers, competitors, clients, and teammates to develop win strategy for specific opportunities
  • Provide customer relationship management, customer contact, networking, and positioning
  • Use established personal and professional network to actively meet with potential clients, identify new business opportunities, and strategic pursuits
Capture Management
  • Identify and track contract opportunities and create plans to execute on those opportunities
  • Explore customer needs and goals and creating strategies to meet customers' needs and goals
  • Oversee bid/no-bid process and analysis to determine whether to pursue an opportunity
  • Define winning propositions and key differentiators- own the entire capture process
Proposal Management
  • Establish proposal team, roles, assignments, and schedule
  • Deconstruct the proposal and ensure the team is focused on compliance
  • Author the technical volume, pricing volume, and staffing plans as needed for proposals
  • Evaluate the market, competitors and develop pricing strategies
  • Develop charts and graphics for proposals as needed
  • Oversee proposal compliance, color team reviews, proposal packaging and delivering
Location:
  • Washington, DC (Metro Area) or San Diego, CA (Metro Area)
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University
  • MBA is preferred
Qualifications:
  • 10 years of progressively responsible experience in business development, strategy, or related roles
  • Deep understanding of DoD contracting dynamics and customer behavior (specifically, US Navy)
  • Strong experience supporting professional services within our core focus areas (Financial Management, Business Systems, Acquisition Systems, and Data Analytics)
  • Previous experience in a leadership position overseeing growth initiatives
  • Proven experience as a senior executive in a growth-focused role
  • Strong capture planning and execution skills
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal abilities
  • Track record of successfully driving revenue growth in a competitive market.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills
