**Golden Gate Evening Kitchen Assistant**

The Kitchen Assistant works on the Kitchen Team to accomplish the goals and objectives of the Food Service Department. This is primarily a dishwashing and custodial position in the kitchen. Secondary duties related to food preparation and service as assigned. The shift is Monday-Thursday, 11:30 am-8:00 pm, with the potential for additional hours on Friday, as available.

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities:**

* Wash dishes, pots and pans.

* Maintain cleanliness of dining room cabinets.

* Keep all refrigerators clean with dates and labels on all items.

* Maintain and clean the Kitchen and Equipment.

* Receive and stock deliveries of food and supplies.

* Help to set up the buffet.

* Help cooks in the preparation of meals.

* Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

**Compensation:**

* $17/hour

* Full benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan, and paid vacation, training days, and sick leave.

* Interest in and ability to support the preparation of meals

* Promptness and a positive attitude.

* Ability to follow verbal and written directions.

* Able to work well with other staff.

* Able to work efficiently under pressure and time limits.

* Food service experience preferred.
