Nature's Pet Market St. Johns is seeking a full time or part-time groomer to add to our team. We are a locally owned & operated natural pet food store/grooming salon that is open 7 days a week. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2-3 years of professional pet grooming experience, exceptional customer service skills, and thrives on being a part of a very busy, hardworking team!

The positions are commission based plus tips! All employees receive a 20% employee discount in the retail store.

Must haves:
* At least 2-3 years of professional grooming experience.

*An excellent portfolio with references.

*Safe and gentle animal-handling skills.

*The ability to adhere to client requests with breed profile and/or pet styling for all breeds.

* Able to maintain a clean work environment.

*Responsible, reliable, & punctual.

*Excellent communication skills

*Must have own equipment

Responsibilities:

*Greeting clients and pets at check-in to discuss grooming preferences and concerns.

* Grooming dogs: baths, cuts, ear cleaning, nail trims, gland expression and teeth brushing. Cat grooming is a plus but not a requirement.

* Contacting each customer when their pet's groom is completed.

*Maintaining detailed records of each groom in our digital database.

*Keeping the grooming areas well sanitized and safe from potential hazards.

*Sanitizing your work station/kennels between grooms.
