This position is for what our client calls "Final Inspection". It is not a supervisory or quality assurance role.

It is a generalist position that focuses on shipping equipment to customers. The shipping tasks involve careful review of customer's order paperwork and confirming the order matches with the items that are ready to ship. It may, at times, also involve "Order Picking" to gather additional items to fulfill a customer's order and carefully boxing up the items to ensure the shipment arrives at its destination in good condition.

This role is also responsible for receiving and logging in shipments of customer's equipment that is returned for repair/calibration, for inspecting packages for damages, and for performing a casual visual inspection of the items for possible damage and notifying management of any damages discovered.

This role may also involve checking items received from suppliers against the purchase order and counting/weighing the items for inventory.

Over time, this position may be trained to perform other tasks, such as light assembly of non-electrical parts and repair of equipment accessories.

The client is looking for someone with warehouse, and shipping/receiving experience; someone who is conscientious, reliable, and accurate. Must have good decision making capabilities, a good work ethic, be able to work independently, be highly motivated, be very concerned with accuracy and work well with others. Must be able to work from detailed written instructions. Must be comfortable with multitasking as needed.

Training in each specific task will be provided.

Experience with UPS and Fedex Shipping software highly desirable.

Must be physically fit and able to carry up to 40 pounds. Some packages may weigh up to 60 pounds; however, most packages weigh between 4 - 23 pounds. This is a highly varied position that requires physical activity. You may be on your feet for at least 4 - 5 hours per day.

Starting Pay Rate: $22.00 - $25.00 / hour DOE

Hours = 7:00 - 3:30, Monday through Friday.
