Job Description
Job Description
Summary What's Team Next Gen? We value all the members of our team and we love to collaborate. Due to this we have many days throughout the year where we bond with all members of Team Next Gen both in professional and fun settings. We have three professional development days that help our teachers meet licensing requirements, expand their knowledge to become better educators, and allow them the opportunity to bring resources back to their “home” campuses. Furthermore, we get to kick back and get to know one another during fun events! We close for a day in the summer for a fun staff BBQ day, and we leave work early for a staff holiday party in the winter! In addition, we plan random fun events throughout the year to bond with every team member part of Next Gen. This way you get to know everyone, not just the members at your “home” campus and can truly be part of what we like to call Team Next Gen! Why do parents and teachers love Next Gen? With our progressive and holistic early childhood education philosophy, we understand each child has unique needs and interests. We expose children to different environments and various learning experiences, which allows them to explore their self- awareness and gain a sense of the world around them. Once students leave a Next Generation campus, they’re fully prepared for the next stage of their young lives. Duties What would I do as a Next Gen Teacher? Teachers are responsible for developing a cohesive teaching team, implementing the curriculum, and managing the day-to-day operational activities and cleaning duties of the classroom. Teachers must understand children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. Teachers must be skilled in communicating with both children and adults in order to meet the needs of the children, effectively collaborate with other teachers at their campus, and assist in resolving parental concerns.
