NATIVE EXCAVATING is Hiring an Oiler Near Steamboat Springs, CO

About the position:

The Oiler will be responsible for completing the fueling, oiling, and greasing of company equipment once per day. Equipment includes but is not limited to excavators, bulldozers, graders, loaders, skid steers, and compactors. The Oiler will complete all assigned tasks while maintaining situational awareness, personal safety, and company policies and procedures.

Job type and schedule: Full-time. 4 am - 2 pm OR 2 pm - 12 am, as desired. Monday - Friday, Saturdays as needed. Year round.

Physical requirements: Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of the day, operate equipment. Must be able to lift 75 pounds.

You will:

  • Schedule and perform oil changes for all assigned equipment, to include (but not limited to) bulldozers, front-end loaders, skid steers, forklifts, and backhoe loaders
  • Fuel, oil, and grease company equipment once per day
  • Take oil samples of equipment
  • Schedule larger service intervals, both internally and with equipment manufacturers
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to problem-solve and complete projects
  • Complete all jobs within specified timelines
  • Maintain proper documentation and reporting procedures
  • Assist with any additional tasks, as needed and assigned

You will need to have:

  • HAZMAT Certification
  • Class A License
  • Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment and diesel systems
  • Previous experience as mechanic for heavy equipment

Pay range:

Will be negotiated at time of hire, commensurate with each person's experience.
