Rhino Tool House is Hiring a Field Service Engineer Near Montgomery, AL

Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Summary/Objective: The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various technical equipment and systems at client sites. This role requires excellent technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused approach to ensure client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform on site power tool calibrations; lift assist inspection, hoist inspection other inspections as required.
  2. Install or supervise installations, 
  3. Configure, and test equipment and systems at client sites according to specifications.
  4. Perform regular maintenance/preventative maintenance inspections to ensure optimal performance and reliability for Design and Build as well as distribution products.
  5. Enter inspections in Inspect-All or other software tools as required.
  6. Conduct repair or inspection training on site.
  7. Conduct company in-services as required.
  8. Take company training classes as required.
  9. Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, both remotely and on-site, and implement appropriate solutions.
  10. Provide technical support and training to clients and end-users as needed.
  11. Collaborate with internal teams, including sales and project management to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
  12. Document all service activities, including maintenance tasks, troubleshooting steps, and solutions provided.
  13. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines at all times.
  14. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
  15. Respond to request for on site repair for any product sold and serviced by RTH
  16. Coordinate, schedule, and oversee outside contracts when appropriate. 
  17.  Submit warranty claims to various suppliers/manufacturer as required.

Qualifications:

  1. Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  2. Proven experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing technical equipment and systems.
  3. Strong organizational and communication skills both oral and written
  4. Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite – Excel/Word/Power Point
  5. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer-focused approach.
  7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
  9. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Certification or training in relevant technical areas (e.g., electronics, mechanical engineering).
  2. Experience working with specific equipment or systems relevant to the industry (e.g., Desoutter, Estic, Cleco Power Tools, Gorbell Crane systems, Crane Calibration Equipment).
  3. Familiarity with relevant software and tools for diagnostics and troubleshooting.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 50 pounds).
  2. Comfortable working in various environments, including outdoor and industrial settings.
  3. Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional weekends or holidays as needed.
  4. Willingness to travel 70-80% of time
