Sr. Systems Administrator - WindowsFt. Belvoir, VA Hours M-F 100% on siteTravel approximately 15%Nationwide IT Services (NIS) is seeking a Sr. Systems Administrator for a potential opportunity supporting a government logistics customer.Role and Responsibilities:

Ensures the stable operation of the in-house computer software systems and network connections.
This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network software and communication links.
Analyzes and resolves end user software program and connectivity issues.
Provides end user training. Provide recommendations on technology direction to align with business vision.
Will be required to provide both local and remote maintenance support to various operational systems deployed at more than one location.
Support includes general maintenance, upgrades, and new installations of servers and applications.
Applies advanced technical knowledge of application networking, including load balancing applications, and ensuring fault tolerance.
Performs vulnerability management.
Perform duties and functions in the management and administration of Microsoft Windows or higher operating systems, including Windows 2012/2012r2, 2016, 2019, 2022 and future versions of DLA MS Windows Servers.
Provides day-to-day operational support for Windows Servers across NIPR / SIPR and all DLA domains and subdomains including both physical and cloud-based computing environments.
Provide skilled technical support in the areas of but not limited to; File and Print Services, Server Roles and Features, Active Directory Infrastructure, Network Services and Policies, File and Storage Solutions, Implementation of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery, performance monitoring and tuning, and implementation of ‘best practices”.
Provide expertise that will monitor software products to ensure that the computing environment is operating within thresholds and that it is available to customers.
Provide expertise to monitor and manage network Print Services and provide Print Services troubleshooting, to include application support for IP based printing and/or fax products.
Provide Project Facilitation Support for Server Build Projects.
Aid the customer through the Enterprise Change Request (ECR) development process and Change Implementation Plan (CIP) process, reviewing documentation for correctness, adherence to design concepts, and vetting customer requirements.
Securely configure and deploy Windows Server Operating Systems (OS) server builds that minimize the operating system’s exposure to threats and mitigate risks. Assist developing RMF artifact documentation.

Qualifications:

Seven (7) years of progressive experience in the field of Information Processing:
Six of which are specialized in numerous specialized Information Processing disciplines involving a range of hardware/software solutions,
Four of which are concentrated, hand-on experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and resolving issues with various software.
US Citizen with active Secret Clearance. Sensitivity Level: IT-I SSBI/T5 Top Secret-level background investigation required, IA Level: IAT-II
Must be able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.
Excellent attention to detail.
Must be able to balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
Identifies potential problems and solutions through analysis identifying recommended solutions.

Computing Environment (CE) Information Assurance (IA) role/function from current DLA CE certification list. At least one of the following: AWS CS Specialty, AWS CSA Assoc., AWS CSA Professional, AWS CSO Admin Assoc., MS 365 Messaging AA, MC Azure AA, MC: Azure SEA, MC Azure SAE, MCSA: WS2012, MCSA: WS2016, MCSE: WS2012, MCSE: WS2016, OCI Foundations 2020.And one of the following Server Admin M certifications: GCDA, GIAC GCWN, ICS 301V/L, ISA CCST Level I, MCSE: Cloud Plat & Infa, MCWSHAA, MS2016:AD I&N, Okta Certified Administrator, Infoblox CDCAAbout Nationwide IT Services
