Position Overview:Nationwide IT Services (NIS) is seeking an experienced Network Administrator to support its flagship contract. The Network Administrator will join our Telecommunications team and be responsible for on-site support of network equipment and upgrades at Denver, CO. The Network Administrator will report to the Program Manager and provide weekly updates on project status/issues/risks.
Duties and Responsibilities: - Responsible for providing hands-on support of network equipment including (but not limited to): switches, routers, servers, firewalls, circuits, controllers and other telecommunication devices/technologies by vendors such as Cisco, Aruba and Juniper
- Assist in setup/configuration of network devices as per agency's security protocols and industry best practices
- Work with customers and other team members to analyze/troubleshoot/resolve issues with network equipment
- Prepare network documentation such as diagrams and SOPs as needed
Job Qualifications: - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field required.
- 6-8 years of hands-on experience with network devices/technologies including (but not limited to): switches, routers, servers, firewalls, circuits, controllers and other telecommunication devices/technologies by vendors such as Cisco, Aruba and Juniper
- Experience/knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, SNMP, DHCP, ARP, IGMP
- Strong verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and support multiple applications
- Must be US Citizen or Authorized to Work in the United States.
- Ability to obtain and retain a Public Trust clearance
The salary range is $60,000 - $80,000. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and work location. The range listed is just one component of Nationwide IT Services total compensation package for employees.
