DESCRIPTION:
Basic duties include the following:

  • Describe the clinical presentation of common homeopathic remedies in a lecture based format.
  • Describe indications, contraindications, safety, and monitoring of homeopathic medicines in a lecture based format.
  • Use electronic databases, locate and analyze/apply evidence informed information related to homeopathy in a lecture based format.
  • Provide case-based examples of how homeopathy is utilized in clinical practice in a lecture based format.
  • Explain the role of homeopathy in the context of naturopathic primary care in a lecture based format.
  • Work collaboratively with course directors for ND program.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Doctoral degree (ND preferred)
  • Must be able to demonstrate advanced knowledge in homeopathy.

Academic Education duties include the following:

  • Must be able to teach in a didactic setting, including use of active learning techniques and development of student learning objectives.
  • Will be expected to work with other teachers in team teaching setting.
  • Teach/facilitate assigned educational experiences, including such activities as lecture, clinical practice, laboratory, and problem-based small group study.
  • Develop and manage educational and evaluative experiences for a diverse population of students.
  • Collaborate with administrators and faculty in assessment of individual teaching effectiveness and the effectiveness of the curriculum while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Assess student learning outcomes and make or recommend appropriate course or program modifications based on results.
  • Review, update, and maintain syllabi in collaboration with other faculty and administrators in accordance with NUNM policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Post and maintain office hours as stipulated in current policy.
  • Establish and maintain student instructional records, and submit grades in a timely manner.
  • Complete and submit self-evaluations, reports and other documents as assigned or requested in a timely manner.

This in-person position will be based at our campus in Portland, Oregon.
