Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Credit Specialist to join our team. As a Credit Specialist, you will be responsible for analyzing credit data and financial information to assess the creditworthiness of individuals and businesses. Your expertise in credit analysis and financial acumen will be crucial in determining credit limits, terms, and conditions for loans and credit applications.
Duties:
- Conduct thorough credit analysis by reviewing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant documents
- Assess the creditworthiness of individuals and businesses by evaluating their financial stability, payment history, and debt-to-income ratios
- Analyze industry trends, market conditions, and economic factors to make informed decisions on credit applications
- Prepare detailed credit reports summarizing the findings of your analysis
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with lending policies and procedures
- Monitor existing credit accounts to identify potential risks or delinquencies
- Provide recommendations for loan modifications or restructuring based on your analysis
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices in credit analysis
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of equity research, financial report writing, mortgage servicing, financial modeling, forecasting, and tax concepts
- Proficiency in quantitative analysis and financial acumen
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to interpret complex financial data and make sound judgments based on your analysis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate credit decisions and recommendations
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
