Denver based National Storage Affiliates (NYSE: NSA) is a leading self-storage REIT with over 1,000 properties spread across 42 states including Puerto Rico as of September 30, 2023. NSA is one of the largest owners and operators of self-storage properties in the U.S.

Job Summary:

The intern will focus on exploring the people aspect, delving into customer journeys and new employee journeys, including Predictive Index, Individual Development Plans, on-site training of various roles within Operations, effective communication, and successful partnerships. Additionally, attention will be given to property matters, including secret shops of company owned and competitor locations, first impressions, and the property capital improvement plan. Lastly, the intern will engage with performance-related tasks, involving Power BI, P&L’s, understanding and interpreting reports, and learning how to effectively share and train others on the associated data. This position is based in our corporate headquarters located in Greenwood Village, CO.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets. This intern position will also be hands on in our field self-storage locations. This requires walking properties, light physical activities, time in outdoor environments, climbing stairs and opening large doors.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, and walk. This position may require you to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time.

Compensation Range: $20.00 per hour (May 2024 - August 2024)
