National Stem Cell Foundation. is Hiring a Product Designer Near Louisville, KY

You'll leverage your love for a beautiful design by working on a product created to transform an industry. You'll be on a small, tight-knit team, meaning you'll get to have a big impact. We’re looking for a Product Designer who wants to create amazing experiences for our partners. In this position, you'll use your skills in translating high-level requests into simple, intuitive, and enjoyable interfaces. What's special about this role? You'll leverage your love for a beautiful design by working on a product created to transform an industry. You'll be on a small, tight-knit team, meaning you'll get to have a big impact.
Responsibilities:
  • Create compelling visual experiences optimized for user conversion, sign up, and retention.
  • The Jr. Graphic Designer will create product landing pages, materials for online and offline marketing (including emails, display banners, social media, print), assets, illustrations, and photography for content marketing.
  • Translate highly technical concepts into beautiful interactive design, illustrations, and infographics, maintaining visual excellence across all user touchpoints.
  • Develop tools, templates, processes, and style guides to ensure brand consistency while championing design within our organization.
  • Work collaboratively on all design projects, from conception to delivery.
  • Refine images, fonts, and layouts using graphic design software.
  • Apply effective typography techniques.
  • Generate ideas to portray concepts and advertise products/services.
  • Maintain brand consistency throughout all our marketing projects.
  • Stay up to date with industry developments and tools.
What you'll bring:
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Graphic designer or Product Designer.
  • Portfolio with a history of impactful projects that showcase your design process.
  • Demonstrate strong UX/UI, interaction, and visual design skills and a human-centric approach to designing products.
  • Able to understand a complex system, able to turn sophisticated consumer problems into simple and engaging products/features, able to think strategically about business problems and invent UX concepts to solve them.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with other designers, product managers, engineers, UX researchers, data analysts, customer advisory teams, marketers, and more.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of iterating on products post-launch based on user data about how the designs perform.
  • A bias for action and prioritized focus on how your work impacts users and the business. Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
  • Fluency in commonly used design software and related tools WYSIWYG editors (Figma, Sketch, Adobe CS, etc.)
  • Experience in document collaboration tools (Confluence, Google Docs, etc.)
Bonus Points:
  • Expert in responsive grid systems and frameworks, as well as vector graphics and optimization.
  • Working knowledge of front-end code, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience with 3D design.
