Overview: Project Coordinator (PC) is charged with (3) categorical tasks within their assigned division/territory. During the training process, each task will be addressed with equal attention and, after the training process has concluded, the
Project Coordinator should continue to address each focus area equally, based on division needs. The following information will outline the process and procedures associated with each category.

Job Description: The PC is the second most senior position within the division and is charged with the day-to-day coordination of the division’s projects and schedules. This is accomplished through a detailed coordination with the Regional

It is requisite that the PC engages in an ongoing education about issues and developments that affect the division as well as an education of best practices surrounding construction safety, graphic standards and directional signage. The PC must use a working knowledge of outside vendor relationships as they relate to building, delivering and managing the
Company’s products and services to enhance the division’s overall functionality and profitability. Further, the PC must fully understand the job descriptions for all employees in the division and be able to reinforce proper training and company philosophies. An expert level knowledge of the Company’s vision, construction methods/materials, product workflow, sign safety standards and employee development will allow the PC to address all (3) categorical focus areas of the position.

Customer Relations: The PC must maintain good will with all customers, vendors, suppliers and subcontractors. In a support of the RM, the PC must manage the existing relationships that support the inventory, production and workflow of the division. From time-to-time, the PC may need to facilitate the transfer of services from one vendor/subcontractor/supplier to another and must do so in coordination with the RM. It is imperative that the PC has a working relationship with each existing customer of the division, the local Home Builders Association(s) (HBA) and other entities within the assigned territory and that they work with the RM to set a recurrent schedule to maintain contact with each customer/group/agency. Further, in the absence of the RM, it is the PC’s responsibility to manage division staff and procedure(s), both within the division and on the job site.

Production & Installation: The PC is the leader of the production and installation team(s). It is the PC’s responsibility to coordinate the division’s workflow in a way that maintains safety, efficient time-to-completion and a high-quality finished product. The PC is responsible for facilitating the subordinate job functions both in the division and on the job site, as well as planning the method(s) by which products will be built, delivered, installed and maintained. The PC is responsible for tracking materials through an inventory, coordinating purchases with vendors, submitting information to the RM and other work that supports the work flow of the division. In the event of a problem with production, a safety concern, vendor relationship or similar, the PC must properly report the incident to the RM in a timely manner.

Field Management: With assistance from the RM, it is the responsibility of the PC to coordinate the daily and weekly schedule(s) for all field employees, or those that may be needed in the field, and to outline the work that must be accomplished at each job site. The PC must set a schedule for work that will ensure all necessary/scheduled work is accomplished and the completion of said work must be reported by the PC to the RM in a timely and predetermined manner. While each job may require unique actions, “Field Management” is defined as, but not limited to, the development of maps, permitting, underground locating, job site safety, employee supervision, equipment/vehicle management and job site cleanliness. In the absence of the RM, the PC is the Company’s representative on the job site and is responsible for the positive communication of the Company’s brand to our target audience. “Positive communication of the Company’s brand” means respectfully communicating with customers, employees and other agents (on site and off), constructive criticism of all finished products to ensure a perfect delivery and documenting all necessary material/actions to support the Company’s procedures and best interest(s).

Weekend Sign Placement: The PC is responsible for the support and facilitation of the division’s weekend sign placement (WEDS, pole signs, trailer signs, etc.). In addition to managing inventories and fabricating products, the PC is responsible for tracking losses, coordinating delivery of replacements/starts, gathering reports from Weekend Field Managers and all other actions that are in support of these weekend activities. The PC must be available, directly or through Field Managers, over the weekend to handle emergent situations and/or handle customer needs relative to the division’s weekend placement services.
