GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:

Research, review, analyze, scope, recommend, plan and develop new and modify existing applications and services to meet business needs and workflow. Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, debugging and complex/advanced administrative tasks on enterprise systems assuring accuracy and integrity of the data as well as optimal performance of the applications. This includes coding, testing, debugging and implementing to support an organization’s application/business and reporting needs. Assist with software and special projects for implementation, execution and reporting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Research, review, gather requirements and collaborate with all departments in the creation, sourcing and/or modification of applications.
• Analyze workflows and make recommendations for addressing deficiencies and making process improvements to the applications and services.
• Create designs and models for new as well as modify existing applications based on derived specifications and business logic that can offset manual processes and analysis.
• Develop new user interfaces and improve the user-friendliness of existing ones.
• Identify and derive automation of business processes for improving and increasing efficiency.
• Provide back-end administration, updates and support to applicable applications, databases and services.
• Write and perform custom data extracts as requested by associates or for system integration needs.
• Evaluate reporting needs to determine most efficient solution.
• Maintain systems and reporting procedures and troubleshooting documentation.
• Assist with new software implementations and upgrades, special projects and new initiatives as required.
• Write and maintain code for applications using industry standard and common computer programming languages.
• Write, maintain and monitor stored procedures and other integration components ensuring proper functionality, integrity and health for the applications, services and data repositories.
• Develop and maintain an understanding of the Company and departments structures and core business in order to proactively work with other associates to determine systems and reporting needs and create workable, efficient solutions.
• Keep abreast of technology products, services and trends.
• Must maintain work accuracy and timely completion of all tasks.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (in Information Systems), and three plus years related application programming/development experience preferred; or associate degree and five plus years related application programming/development experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications, Excel and Access (Visual Basic for Applications)
• Experience with business application development platforms (ex: Power Apps, Salesforce)
• Database developer and administration experience (i.e.: SQL Server, Query tools, Reporting)
• Accounting software knowledge (i.e.: ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP)
