Position Summary:

Responsible for unloading and loading of raw materials, WIP and finished goods. Also must follow FIFO and warehouse storage procedures for the material. Responsible for transporting raw material, work in process, equipment, and finish goods between the NPC’s facilities. The following duties and responsibilities do not restrict the tasks that may be assigned.

Essential Job Functions:

• Some computer skills.
• Material handling experience required.
• Must be certified to operate a forklift.
• Walk, bend, kneel, twist, turn, push and pull on a regular basis.
• Lift up to 30 pounds on occasion.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs daily skid counts and turn information into materials clerk.
• Pulls, prepares and stages finished goods for the daily shipments.
• Applies bar codes labels to finished good pallets before shipping.
• Reviews incoming paper work. Inspects trailers, breaks seals, notes any damage and/or quantity differences, signs and turns in paperwork to the materials clerk.
• Signs for all daily UPS, FedEx, and DHL shipments and distributes to appropriate departments within the same day of delivery.
• Stages trailers for the outbound loading.
• Moves trailers within the drop lot at NPC 1 and moves trailers between the NPC’s facilities.
• Reviews all out bound paper work and seals trailers.
• Ensures that the driver signs in and out on the trucker’s log.
• Assists in counting raw material and finish goods as needed.
• Completes daily forklift check sheets and cleans the forklift.
• Ensures all trucks are loaded and unloaded correctly.
• Ensures that all paper work is completed and correct.
• Safely loads and secures the loads on the truck.

• Correctly completes proper distribution of the freight bills for the materials that are transported.
• Safely unloads and properly places materials within the warehouse.
• Responsible for cleanliness of the truck.
• Reports all mechanical defects, mileage and fuel needs of the truck.
• Fills in, in the material department as needed.

• Can work at either of the facilities.

• Responsible for reporting food safety issues to management and/ or Quality Assurance.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Strong work history
• Ability to work well with others.

• Must have at least 1 year of forklift experience.
• Must have at least 1 year of material handling experience.

• Must have at least 1 year of Shipping / Receiving experience.

• Clean driving record with proof of current driver’s license and insurance. Must provide updates of license and insurance.
