Summary:
Under administrative direction, plans, manages, and coordinates marketing for retail account programs; coordinates trade shows; omni-channel communications; collaborates with other members of the marketing team in developing marketing concepts and campaigns; and performs other related duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS GUIDELINES:
EDUCATION/TRAINING/CERTIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:
Required: Two or more years of marketing experience involving a variety of marketing campaigns, trade shows, and promotional resources. Ideally, the candidate has retail sales experience and/or knowledge. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Sales or related field is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Desirable: Sales or Marketing experience involving education, retail, commodity and not-for-profit organizations. Bilingual is a plus.
Ideally, the candidate would have entry-level knowledge of retail marketing, trade show marketing practices; customer service practices, principles of consumer demand; branding practices; retail and product marketing principles.
Skills/Abilities:
Establish and maintain effective relationships with retailers; develop effective retail marketing programs; read, analyze, and present marketing and consumer trend information and reports; plan, organize, and prioritize tasks and meet project and program deadlines; exercise judgment and apply effective problem solving techniques; prepare sound recommendations; initiate and maintain effective relationships with management and staff, contractors, consultants, and vendors; maintain the confidentiality of sensitive member information; communicate effectively, orally and in writing; demonstrate proficiency in using computer hardware and word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, customer relationship management (CRM), and database software applications.
Special Requirements: Proficiency in the use of software applications required to perform duties is required within six months of assignment to this position.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Finger dexterity is required to operate computer hardware and office equipment. The employee is frequently required to sit and to occasionally stand and walk to access office areas and meeting locations. The employee occasionally lifts and carries reports, files, and records, typically weighing less than 10 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Other sensory demands include hearing and speaking with others.
MENTAL DEMANDS:
The employee must be able to constantly use written and oral communication skills; read, analyze, and interpret marketing and consumer data and sales trends; manage and coordinate programs; use mathematical reasoning and make financial projections; learn and apply new information or new skills; ensure the completion of reports in a timely manner; work under deadlines with constant interruptions; interact effectively with staff, retail account managers, vendors, contractors, consultants, board members, committee members, and industry representatives.
ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
This position is hybrid in an office setting in which the noise level is frequently less than 80 decibels, with controlled temperature conditions, and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances. The employee frequently travels domestically and at times abroad to meet with the Board, attend trade shows, and attend business meetings and conferences.
