The Opportunity
The College of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences at National Louis University in Illinois is pleased to announce its search for a Full-Time Counselor Educator with expertise in School Counseling to join our CACREP-accredited Master of Science in Counseling Program. The program offers advanced graduate training in the fields of Clinical Mental Health, School Counseling, and Addictions. School counseling faculty and individuals with a certification in addictions are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities for this position include teaching, scholarship, and service. Teaching expectations will cover a variety of areas within our School Counseling track and foundation courses in Clinical Mental Health Counseling track as needed, including courses in counseling theory and techniques, assessment and diagnosis, and internship/practicum/supervision. Faculty also engage in supervision of practicum and internship field placement experiences, advising and mentorship, and serving on university committees. The successful candidates will exemplify skill in working competently with students and faculty representing a broad range of cultures and identities. Applicants must be Licensed Professional Educators with PEL-School Counseling Endorsement or eligible to obtain the PEL within 12 months of hire. This position is a Full-Time Open Rank (commensurate with experience) 10-Month faculty position beginning as soon as it can be filled.

In addition, the University has two suburban locations and a Florida regional campus.
Essential Responsibilities:While this position will be based at the Wheeling, IL campus there is an expectation that this role may also teach in person at the Chicago, IL or Lisle, IL campus as needed.
