Grants Researcher/Writer
The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) is a 501(c)(6) trade association that crafts and executes advocacy campaigns and provides analytical products to assist Member companies with business decisions. NEMA also develops performance Standards for Members in the electrical and medical imaging industries. NEMA is seeking a contract Grants Researcher/Writer to advance that mission by identifying and pursuing new external funding opportunities at the federal and state level, as well as with foundation grants. The primary work includes developing resources, researching and vetting grant prospects, and writing proposals to obtain grant funding from government and industry-aligned organizations. The work also includes writing contract proposals that reflect the goals and objectives of the organization, outlining accurate budgets that support the proposed activities defined in the proposal, ensuring each grant-writing project complies with the funder's policies, formats, timelines, reporting, and legal requirements, and developing and advising on grant funding strategies for NEMA and its members.
This is a contract position planned for the remainder of 2024, with possible extensions into 2025. NEMA is headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, and while proximity to the office is desirable, remote work is an option.
