The Modeling and Simulation Engineer will directly support client delivery with a focus on demonstrating value and impact delivered. A Senior Modeling and Simulation Engineer must have experience in the coordination with customers to identify model requirements, simulation goals, and variables to be applied. They must have extensive experience in the model design and simulation to include complex multi-system simulations. Has developed software modeling and device characterization, hard and soft modeling development, parametric testing, and measurement automation. Must have experience in the construction of simulations to customer specifications. Can document and report on test results to users.

Type of Employment: Part time and full time. Positions are contingent upon award and funding (expected quarter 2, 2024)

Work Location/Travel: Primarily virtual, however applicants should be unencumbered from any travel restrictions.

Pay Scale:There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and competencies aligning to the posted role, geographic location, education, and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this role is $96,210 - $142,320, also dependent upon employment type. Full time roles enjoy the benefits of additional financial incentives such as discretionary bonuses, a very generous 401K matching, and full benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Drive modeling requirements activities including construction of multi-disciplinary teams.
• Conduct analysis and develop M&S frameworks.
• Develop and validate simulation models to inform program reviews, strategic planning, and operations coordination.
• Provide documentation on modeling requirements in clear and concise manner.
• Develop logistical preparation and readiness planning for simulation events.
• Conduct simulations, identifying risks, issues, and barriers.
• Conduct parametric and other testing, imitating processes under a variety of conditions.
• Provide robust reporting and mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders including government, vendors, and other consulting firms.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Expert knowledge of modeling and simulation frameworks
• Project management experience

Required Education/Certification:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher education
• Ability to pass government background checks

Experience:

• A minimum of 10 years' experience as a simulation engineer.
• Ability to identify model requirements, simulation goals, and applicable variables.
• Strong grasp on system integration points and dependencies.
• Experienced in complex multi-system simulations.
• Systems integration and acceptance testing.
• Experienced in standing up and performing construction simulations per identified speculations.
• Government experience highly desired, but not required.
• Healthcare experience highly desired, but not required.

Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency with MS Office 365 skills to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Experienced in a variety of applicable healthcare system platforms.
