Job Description:

Our client is currently seeking a talented and experienced Project Manager with expertise in commercial and retail construction to oversee projects from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, a deep understanding of construction processes, and a proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with the project team. Ensure alignment with client objectives, project specifications, and company standards.
• Manage the procurement process, including subcontractor selection, bidding, and contract negotiation. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Implement strategies to control costs and minimize project overruns.
• Allocate resources effectively to meet project requirements and deadlines. Coordinate with internal teams and subcontractors to optimize workforce utilization and productivity.
• Ensure that construction work meets quality standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address quality issues promptly.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues proactively. Develop contingency plans and risk mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions and liabilities.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders. Provide updates on project progress, milestones, and potential issues. Build and maintain positive relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on commercial and retail construction projects.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire project teams to achieve excellence.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Procore, Primavera P6, or Microsoft Project.
• Knowledge of construction industry best practices, building codes, and regulations.
